Established in 2012, the Midlands Obstetric Anaesthesia Network provides a forum for education, discussion and debate for obstetric anaesthetists in the West Midlands.
We previously met twice a year for a half day of continued professional development, mapped to the RCoA curriculum for revalidation. More recently we have changed this to a single full day meeting in the autumn. For details of previous meetings and the date of the next meeting please click here.
For novice obstetric anaesthetists in our region, a group of Birmingham School trainees have developed the BOAST Course (Birmingham Obstetric Anaesthesia Simulation Training. Please click here for more information.
The AAGBI also run a seminar for trainees new to obstetrics: An introduction to obstetric regional analgesia and anaesthesia. The most recent course was on Tuesday 2nd October 2018. More information can be found here. Future dates will be posted when known.
